BIM (Building Information Modelling) is the way of the future for architects. The benefits, results and power of BIM are amazing. BIM is not just about design & visualisation, it is a very powerful tool during the construction phase too. Because the building has been virtually built prior to construction you can identify and eliminate many complications that would normally arise on site. BIMs also give you the ability to keep track of materials, costs, the interaction of trades and after construction is complete the model can be used by facilities managers.
It is only a matter of time now before this becomes the industry standard. Like the switch from the drawing board to CAD once you take the plunge there will be no looking back.

This year V-Mark Survey hopes to start issuing our surveys in Revit or Archicad format. We believe that we should be building the models so that architects can concentrate on their design.
